TYFC Community Trust
The purpose of Taunton Youth FC Community Trust is to advance amateur sport and promote community participation in healthy recreation through the provision of sports coaching and access to facilities for football players aged 4-18 who live in and around Taunton.
Any child of qualifying age, regardless of footballing ability, is welcome to come and train with us (subject to club capacity).
The programme was granted Charitable Status in January 2019, The charity number is 1181212.
Taunton Youth FC Community Trust was awarded The FA Standard Charter in April 2020

We became an FA Accredited Club in April 2021.

Programme Outline
The trust is a not for profit organisation. We will keep revenue under constant review, and if at any point in the future we build a surplus this will be reinvested in the programme or used to lower the fees again. As a charity, our annual accounts have to be published meaning that there will always be transparency.
Taunton Youth Players play in the Junior Premier League (JPL). The Junior Premier League is a player development focused league, driving innovation and ensuring every player has a premier experience. The League is designed to provide competitive opportunities for development and advancement in youth football.
2022 – 23 SEASON
Pre-season training has now started– anticipate the first JPL fixtures Saturday 10th September.
Programme end date: Thursday 11th May 2023 with payments for the year as follows:

Christmas: Monday 19th December – Monday 2nd January inclusive. Recommencement Tuesday 3rd January.
Easter: Monday 3rd April – Monday 10th April inclusive. Recommencement Tuesday 11th April.
The programme runs from mid- August to mid- May and as a Community Trust we endeavour to make payments easier for parents by splitting them over a 10 month period. A no-notice grace period is offered up to 30th September where only fees for two months will be due. However post this date, two months notice and fees are required to be paid unless there are special circumstances.
Playing in the JPL does require commitment, playing on Saturday mornings can involve travel down to Torquay or to Cheltenham, Bristol and Bath. If you think your child would like to compete at an advanced level, during pre-season they are welcome to come to training to see if it is something they would like. Please see further information on the Joining the Club tab. The first part of the process is go to DASHBOARD - CLUB REGISTRATION. Please create a Parent Profile. If you have a FAN number, then please use that as your User Name, if not, iniitally please use FirstnameLastName as the format. Once registered, you then log in and add your son / daughter's details which will then allow us to allocate them to an age group.
TAUNTON JUNIORS
The Juniors section of Taunton Youth FC Community Trust is a Football Development Centre in Taunton. The Juniors is run in line with the Football Associations four corner model. We are passionate and committed to providing the best experience and environment for the young players to flourish. Head of Football, Gary Green runs the Juniors together with coaches who run teams who play in the Junior Premier League. Coaches are assisted by members of our U18 Squad who are conducting their coaching qualifications with a view to developing their involvement in football beyond School and College.
Sessions for 5 year olds to 12 year olds are run on a Monday night at Bishop Fox’s School during normal term time. The Juniors also run regular holiday clubs during half term and the school holidays. Joining the club
Joining a club is veru much a trial for young players to see if they like the organisation and structure and are going to enjoy their football.
Details in relation to what is required regarding joining the club is provided here. how the club works is contained in our welcome pack. All players are expected to attend training in training kit which consists of Yellow Top, Claret Shorts and Claret Socks, pur.chased from Somerset County Sports. For U11 - U16,Players selected for the Match Squad are also required to purchase a Claret Match Top with player number.
PLAYERS NEED TO BE HAPPY
For new joiners we do offer a cooling off period so that players have the opportunity to work with the coaches. If a player decides they want to leave, as long as notice is given prior to the 30th September, there is no penalty. However, once you have committed to the programme and you or your child decides to leave after the 30th September, then two months advance notice is required. This means, for example, if your son/daughter wishes to finish at the end of March, you will need to give us notice in writing or email by the end of January. You will then be required to pay all fees due up to the end of March.
During the season we do not charge for players to get a taste of what we are about and they can come in any appropriate football kit with boots (Astro boots if at Bishops Fox's or Heathfield) moulds if on the grass or on the Castle 3G. Please note metal studded boots are not allowed on the 3G surfaces we play on.
