Taunton Town Junior Premier League Trials
Hello and
thank you for all who showed an interest in the trials we are holding for next
season's Taunton Town Youth JPL Squads.
For all those who have registered, the trial date is Tuesday 15th May with times
as follows:
U11 and U12: 5.30 - 7.00pm
U13 - 16: 7.00
- 8.30pm
Location: Bridgwater & Taunton College Heron
Drive Pitches. These are accessible via Heron Drive, off Silk Mills Road. If you
have a SATNAV please use, TA1 5HA, follow the road to the gates
where you will see the pitches on the left. Go through the gates and park in the
College Car Park.
Please allow for traffic and arrive approx 10 minutes before the
trial start time.
Kit: The forecast is fine with sunshine, therefore light sports
clothing is recommended. Long socks and shin pads are a requirement. No
shin pads, no play! The surface is grass, therefore moulds / studs are
advised, however bring astro trainers in case the ground becomes hard. A full
water bottle is a requirement as your child will be 'busy' for the whole period
of the trial. Ensure a light jacket / fleece is also available in case the
forecast is wrong and we have rain on the day.
Prior to attending, we request you check the information we hold
and upload a picture of your child to add to the registration details. This will
confirm you are coming and help us to identify your child on the day.
To access the database please click
here using your email and your child's date of birth (use dd/mm/yyyy format
ie 15/11/2004) to log into the system.
It is designed to work via a mobile phone, so take a picture,
upload, job done!
We will be working with 150 players over the whole trial period therefore both
the road and car park will be extremely busy. We ask for your patience and if
you can arrange a lift-share / drop off / park elsewhere and walk, that would
alleviate the situation.
Ultimately we want both you and your child to enjoy the day. We expect a certain
standard of behaviour from all players and we will need your child to listen to
the coaches and do as instructed. One disruptive child could potentially ruin
the experience for all the others, we therefore have a zero tolerance in
relation to bad behaviour and any player we consider is not taking the trials
seriously will be asked to leave.
Any questions, please contact myself, Neil White on the youth@tauntontown.com address.
I am available on 07977 915 965, however work full time so cannot guarantee
answering the phone. Drop me a text, I will reply.
