Summer's Here

Wed 15th May 2019

We are now winding down for the Summer and this is a reminder that the end of season presentation day is this Saturday the 18th May at Taunton Town's Viridor Stadium in the club house. Timing as follows:

2:30 - 3:30 for U11 - U13

3:30 - 4:30 for U14 Blues/Clarets and U15 & U16

Votes have been cast for Players' Player, Supporters' Player and we have the JPL Player awards. Dress is smart casual.

Also a reminder, if you have not already done so, we would like you to complete the end of season survey prior to the weekend. This will enable us to take your views and improve the programme.

End of season survey

Finally please find below a note from the club chairperson:

You may recall that we sent an email a while ago reminding everyone about expected standards of behaviour and conduct on the side-lines whilst watching matches. This stemmed from an Under 13s game against Yate which was abandoned, meaning our players missed valuable learning time through no fault of their own.

We have now received a copy of the referee's report and the judgement from Somerset FA on this matter. The report and judgement lays the majority of the blame with the opposition parent who was running the line. However, whilst no individuals from our side were named, it is clear that some of our members contributed to the abandonment. As such, we have been fined and given a warning.

The fine has been covered by a donation, meaning we do not need to approach any of our members for a contribution on this occasion. However, as previously stated, we reserve the right to enforce collection of monies to cover any future fines if they can be attributed to a breach of the parental/supporters' code of conduct.

As parents and supporters of the Club we value your ongoing support and participation, but we all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour in the game.

For those of you who are able to attend the end of season presentation this Saturday, I look forward to seeing you there.
